JAMEY BUENCAMINO

Jamey Buencamino is a professional guitarist with over 25 years of teaching and performing experience. His passion and devotion for various styles of music has developed him into a multifaceted musician and educator, inspiring audiences and students throughout the greater Chicago-Milwaukee area.

 

Although has performed a variety of styles, Buencamino's heart gravitates to classical and rock. He is known as a classical guitarist performing at various wedding ceremonies, receptions and private events. Additionally, as a rock guitarist, he has engaged in various recording projects through the years which received radio airplay. His live performances have appeared on many local cable channels in Northeast Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin.

 

As an educator, Buencamino teaches both at the collegiate level and within the K-12 community, helping students master and prepare for Classical Guitar auditions, Jazz Band, and Solo & Ensemble Festivals. His students have successfully been admitted to college programs as wells as received high marks in the Wisconsin State Music Association district and state festivals.

 

Buencamino holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with a concentration in Classical Guitar Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, as well as a Masters Degree in Classical Guitar Performance from Northwestern University.

 

In addition to freelance performing, Buencamino is currently the Professor of Guitar at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and teaches at the Kenosha Conservatory of Music.
